Biography

I was born and raised right here in Kingsville. My parents were both teachers, and my dad worked at Edgewood High School. Growing up, I spent my childhood in the fields-growing corn, oats, and hay, and helping with our family sawmill. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, and teamwork. I also learned how to operate and maintain machinery and heavy equipment, skills that have stuck with me to this day.

From a young age, I had a call to public service. I joined the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Department as a cadet, which led me to pursue a career in fire and emergency services and dedicate years to serving the community. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Education and currently serve as a career Fire Captain/Paramedic and Instructor for Atech.

When our kids were young, my wife and I were leaders of Kingsville Cub Scouts Pack #11 for five years, providing valuable life skills and experiences to many boys in our community.

I also have 20 years of residential construction experience, during which I was part owner of TD Construction. We built and remodeled many houses, and through this work I gained valuable knowledge in budgeting and business operations.

Why I Decided to Run

Kingsville has always been my home, and I care deeply about this community. I decided to run for trustee because I want to give back to the place that gave me so much growing up. I believe my background in public service, problem-solving, and working alongside people in times of crisis has prepared me to be a steady and reliable leader. I want to make sure our township continues to thrive, remains safe, and provides opportunities for future generations.

My Priorities if Elected

  • Public Safety: Ensuring our Fire Department has the resources and support they need.
  • Infrastructure: Maintaining our roads, equipment, and township facilities responsibly and cost-effectively.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Using taxpayer dollars wisely and transparently, including evaluating all township equipment and buildings while creating a long-term plan for maintenance and replacement.
  • Community Growth: Supporting responsible development while preserving the character and traditions of Kingsville.
  • Collaboration: Building strong partnerships with residents, local organizations, and schools to keep our community moving forward together.

Why Voters Should Choose Me

I bring experience, commitment, and deep roots in this community. My years in Fire/EMS have given me leadership and conflict resolution skills along with a strong sense of accountability. I've spent my life serving others, and I want to bring that same dedication to serving Kingsville as trustee. Voters can count on me to listen, be approachable, be transparent, and make decisions with the best interest of the community at heart.

Final Thoughts

Kingsville is more than just where I live-it's part of who I am. I care about its history, its people, and its future. I want to make sure we preserve what makes this township special, while also preparing it for the challenges ahead. I'd be honored to earn your support and represent you as trustee.
